BIC: Official Supplier of the 2014 Tour De France
Celebrating the Tour De France coming to the UK for just the third time in its history, BIC is back in the saddle as an Official Supplier of the world famous cycling race for 2014.
With three stages taking place on UK soil – kicking off in Leeds on 5 July, York on 6 July and the Cambridge to London leg on 7 July – BIC will be bringing back its popular BIC Creativity Caravan to delight and excite spectators along the race route. With an entourage of music and viewing platforms in tow, the BIC Creativity Caravan will see 400,000 goodies distributed along the course as well as showcasing the latest products from the UK’s leading stationery brand.
Each morning, cyclists will sign in with the BIC® 4 Colours™ pens, the official pen of the competition, which will also be distributed to fans in the Starting Village near the autograph podium. A BIC mascot will be on hand to greet the public at the finish line and highlight the Back To School offering to fans.
With a proud history of supporting the Tour De France, which spans back as far as 1952, BIC is an integral part of the prestigious race. It even sported its own successful team of professional cyclists between 1967 and 1974.
